Distribution Center Loader

Job Summary
Distribution Center Loader responsible for staging, shrink-wrapping, and loading products by trip and store number; prepares palletized loads for shipment, ensures correct parts on the correct trucks, and maps out organization of loading customer orders from skids to trucks. Operates pallet jack or forklift, inspects trailers for suitability, maintains product integrity through proper handling and storage, and adheres to safety procedures. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, push/pull up to 300 lbs with mechanical aids, and work in a physically demanding warehouse environment. Familiarity with basic computer tasks and strong communication skills required; forklift certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience
- Forklift certified preferred
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with mechanical aids
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
- Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (visually and aurally)
- Basic computer APGJCe skills
- Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and reach eight feet with stool/ladder when necessary
- Able to get in and out of the back of truck with parts using a ramp
- Able to stand and walk for entire work shift
