Job Summary
Distribution Center Loader responsible for staging, shrinking wraps and loading products by trip and store numbers as received from stockroom, preparing palletized loads for shipment, and ensuring correct parts are loaded onto the proper trucks with accuracy and speed. Duties include staging product on pallets, shrink wrapping to prevent loss, inspecting trailers, selecting and packing the right parts for delivery, mapping organization of loading from skid to truck, operating a pallet jack or forklift, maintaining product integrity, keeping the work area safe and clean, pulling stock orders as needed, assisting with processing other DC shuttles, and complying with safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required
- Forklift certified preferred
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
- Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence
- Basic computer APGJCe skills
- Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 lbs.
- Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids
- Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and reach shelves up to eight feet with stool or ladder
- Able to get in and out of back of truck with parts using a ramp
- Able to stand and walk for entire work shift
- Work in a safe manner following all safety procedures
