Job Summary
Operate warehouse equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise while managing receiving, storing, and distribution processes. Perform extended standing tasks, lift up to 175 pounds, and maintain building cleanliness. Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Roles include Equipment Operators, General Warehouse Associates, Warehouse Leads, and Porters.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- The ability to operate equipment at a height potential of 35 ft.
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 150lbs with or without accommodations
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Understanding of general work practices in distribution and/or warehousing, including unloading, loading, picking, packing, and shipping/receiving processes and procedures
- Willing to adjust schedule and hours as needed to accommodate business needs/overtime
- No physical limitations that limit the ability to carry and move furniture weighing up to 175+ pounds
- Adapts to change quickly and easily, and performs effectively during times of change; demonstrates the ability to multi-task and manages competing priorities effectively
- Builds respectful and effective working relationships; collaborates with others to achieve common goals
- Conveys information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; adjusts communication to meet the needs of the audience
- Demonstrates initiative by acting as a self-starter; takes on increased responsibility to enhance one's contribution
- Displays a high degree of integrity, honesty and takes responsibility for one's own actions; shows consistency between words and actions
Desired Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a distribution and/or warehouse setting preferred
