Distribution Center (DC) Planner

Job Summary

Own the execution of scheduling and waving product to optimize delivery to stores within 24-48 hours of demand generation. Review all orders aged greater than 24 hours and investigate requirements to promptly ship them in partnership with operations leadership. Support executing systematic waves for off-shifts to ensure consistent work flow for production teams matching agreed capacity. Partner with other DC operations leaders daily to align on capacity for correct order release and shipping. Review the site's capacity plan to provide feedback on risks to customer demand and support weekly supply reviews for procurement re-ordering risks. Drive continuous improvement strategies within the department and across the network. Communicate issues quickly to supervisors and assist in resolving problems by partnering with operations managers. Become the onsite WM SME for operations and develop expertise within the production control team. Monday-Thursday 2:30am-1pm. Bachelor's degree in STEM or 4+ years distribution planning experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field
  • 4+ years of distribution planning experience
  • Strong excel experience
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data
  • High level language, presentation, and math skills
  • Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Experience with WM (warehouse management) systems
  • Must become the onsite WM SME for operations
  • Ability to respond with a sense of urgency
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with co-workers in a professional, respectful, cooperative, and courteous manner

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Data analytics, and/or Finance/Accounting
  • Certifications in data analytics, APICs, Lean manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma
  • Experience with WM (warehouse management) systems, specifically Manhattan
  • Experience designing and implementing replenishment strategies
  • Strong experience building reporting in Power BI, excel, SQL, and/or python
  • Cameras must be on for all virtual interviews
  • AI tools are strictly prohibited during interviews or assessments
