Job Summary
Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse capacity, verify receiving counts against purchase orders, and ensure all shipping documentation is completed accurately. Process core returns and defective items by unloading, staging, scanning, and completing associated paperwork. Manage UPS shipments by printing labels, overpacking products, and sorting packages for routing. Handle classified merchandise returns by checking shipments for accuracy, restocking parts, and processing labor claims for recalls and chemical defectives. Maintain a clean, safe work environment while proactively resolving operational problems and meeting production goals.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds
- Physical ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach
- Use of ladders when required
- Good judgment and strong decision-making skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
- Capable and willing to operate warehouse equipment
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Manual dexterity to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision and accuracy
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scanning barcodes, sorting items, or packaging products
- Stamina and endurance to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to work long hours, weekends, or overtime during peak periods
- Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines
- Vigilance about potential hazards in the warehouse environment
