Distinguished Technologist - Memory/Storage Utilization & Data Placement Architect

Architect memory/storage hierarchy (DRAM, SSD, cache layers) and define policies for data placement and movement across tiers (hot vs. cold data) to optimize AI workloads. Lead paging, prefetching, and streaming optimizations for AI inference/training; partner with software teams to co-optimize models across memory and storage for maximum AI performance; enable storage as memory extension (spillover, KV caching). Collaborate with OS/runtime teams on data orchestration and evaluate emerging approaches (unified memory, memory pooling, compression). Define long-term vision and technology roadmaps for electrical hardware design across multiple feature areas, and lead cross-organizational initiatives. Provide consultation and design input for new product development, mentor staff, and communicate strategy to executives, partners, and customers. Drive industry-leading R&D and act as a recognized lead authority, shaping growth opportunities and influencing multiple disciplines. Ensure inclusive, barrier-free collaboration and contribute to HP’s technology leadership.
