Distinguished Engineer (Chiplet Lead - Photonic Fabric)
$31,200–$31,200 year
On-siteSanta Clara, California, United States
Job Summary
Own end-to-end product design for a heterogeneous photonic chiplet, leading micro-architecture and RTL development for high-speed electrical ICs with advanced analog SERDES. Collaborate with verification, physical design, and packaging teams to drive floorplanning, sign-off, and DFT strategy for digital and analog SERDES. Partner with the photonics team to define PIC architecture and ensure robust electrical-optical co-design while driving ATE enablement and system-level validation. Lead cross-functional teams to complete silicon bring-up, debug, and root-cause analysis across silicon, package, and optics domains. Mentor senior engineers and communicate technical risks to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- 15+ years of related professional experience OR Master's degree / PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 8-12 years of experience
- 15+ years of experience in ASIC / SoC development with end-to-end chip ownership
