Job Summary
Bartender at a distillery and tasting room responsible for greeting customers, taking and preparing beverage orders (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), verifying identifications and ages, educating patrons about products, pouring samples, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Duties include maintaining accurate cash handling and POS transactions, keeping the tasting room clean, stocking products and merchandise, assisting with inventory counts, and representing the company professionally during on-site and off-site events. Must be available for off-site events, work as part of a team, communicate needs to management, attend staff meetings, maintain appropriate dress, adhere to health and safety regulations, and perform other special projects as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be minimum 21 years of age
- Previous experience in a craft cocktail role is required
- Ability to use a computer and learn Point of Sale system
- Ability to represent Company Distilling professionally in writing and in person
- Familiarity with different types of alcoholic cocktails and spirits
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Basic math skills for accurately calculating bills and making change
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
