Job Summary
Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor provides virtual language instruction to improve proficiency across listening, reading, and speaking (L/R/S) as measured by the DLPT, ACTFL, or OPI; delivers instruction on regional culture subjects using modern blended-learning methodologies; develops lesson plans and learning materials; assesses and delivers instruction based on ILR levels 0+ to 3; reviews and grades assignments; maintains a positive virtual learning environment and collaborates with Site Lead, POI analyst, and Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent in listening, reading, and speaking
- Experience in providing foreign language instruction through a virtual environment
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Access to Windows-based computer, webcam, headset with microphone, phone or smart tablet, and high-speed internet connection
- Bachelor's Degree
