Display Assembly Technician

Display Assembly Technician needed for in-store merchandise assembly in Manassas, VA. Responsibilities include reading and following procedures, gathering materials, taking precise measurements, selecting components per specifications, assembling units, ensuring quality, maintaining merchandise, and reporting issues. Role involves displaying products to maximize sales, servicing retail chains (Lowe's, Home Depot, ACE Hardware, Wal-Mart, etc.), and potential progression to In-Store Merchandise Assembler after training. Requires proven assembly experience, ability to read blueprints/drawings, strong quality-control knowledge, good communication, physical strength (heavy lifting up to 80 lbs), dexterity with hand/power tools, and the ability to work independently. Travel to various customer sites is expected; independent contractor, piecework compensation, 1099 status, with potential travel between stores. Must be 18+, have reliable transportation, a mobile phone, internet access, and availability in-store at 9am, Mon-Fri. Flexible schedules available; immediate openings in Manassas and surrounding NoVa area.
