Job Summary
Dispensing Pharmacy Technician role at Sweetgrass Pharmacy & Compounding focused on dispensing and preparing medications with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include dispensing compounded medications, packaging and labeling, inventory management, maintaining documentation within pharmacy systems, performing visual inspections of sterile products, supporting quality control for sterile and non-sterile compounds, participating in internal communications via Slack, cross-training in other departments, supporting direct patient care through accuracy and quality of dispensed products, and maintaining a clean, compliant pharmacy environment. The role emphasizes meeting dispensing productivity goals, teamwork, and contributing to a high-quality patient experience in an independent compounding pharmacy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current South Carolina Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Minimum one year of pharmacy or related healthcare experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Experience in an independent pharmacy setting
- Experience working in a compounding laboratory
- Experience with Pharmetika pharmacy software
- Experience using Slack or similar communication platforms
