Job Summary
Dispensing Pharmacist position handles safe, accurate dispensing of medications and clinical pharmaceutical care in a skilled nursing facility. Requires a licensed pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and dedication to resident safety. This is a full-time role (4 days per week, 10-hour shifts) with a Saturday rotation, and includes responsibilities such as medication dispensing and verification, clinical consultation with the healthcare team, medication management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and collaboration with nursing staff and providers. Preferred qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) with a Tennessee license and Long-Term Care experience, along with strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) and possess a valid Tennessee pharmacist license.
- Prior experience working as a pharmacist with a good understanding of pharmacy operations and dispensing procedures. Long-Term Care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
