Job Summary
Conduct patient-first dispensing care by offering expert advice on frame and lens choices, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring high-quality fittings for individual visual and lifestyle needs. Manage complex prescriptions or adjustments while supporting patients with queries and helping the team resolve dispensing-related issues. Maintain practice organization and contribute to the upkeep of the three consulting rooms across Exeter and Ottery St Mary. Work 2 Saturdays a month with 40-minute appointments within a supportive team of 10.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the GOC or appropriate governing body
- Dispensing Optician qualification
- Technical skills
- Product knowledge
- Ability to recommend the best lens and frame options for each individual's visual and lifestyle needs
- Ability to take accurate measurements
- Ability to ensure high-quality fittings
- Ability to manage complex prescriptions or adjustments with confidence
- Ability to support patients with queries or concerns
- Ability to help the team resolve any dispensing-related issues
- Ability to contribute to the upkeep and organisation of the practice
