Job Summary
Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients and achieve specified product characteristics; set up/break down, clean, monitor, and record operation of assigned machinery/equipment; learn to operate select machinery within trained guidelines, including tearing down/reassembling as trained; validate and produce high-quality product; collaborate with quality control for in-process checks and ensure product conformity; implement job assignments to conduct product testing promptly without compromising quality; plan for efficient pre/post-between-test time; adhere to cGMP, GDP, and housekeeping practices; decrease product variability through proper equipment preparation and procedure compliance; meet/exceed daily production requirements per product specifications; maintain accurate records and documentation; use computers for data entry and labor reporting; read and follow directions; willingness to work overtime/weekends as required; physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating pallet jack; safety and quality-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months in a food manufacturing environment or related field preferred
- Familiar with basic tools and hardware preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions; knowledge of cGMP and GDP; high-quality workmanship
- Ability to use computers for data entry and labor reporting; willing to work overtime or weekends as workload demands
