Job Summary
Dispensary Technician at Ayr Wellness responsible for providing patients with an extraordinary, knowledgeable, and compassionate experience. Responsibilities include explaining benefits of premium cannabis products, resolving patient questions, managing patient intake and records, fulfilling orders via POS and inventory systems, maintaining a clean and stocked dispensary, ensuring compliance to prevent diversion of cannabis, participating in daily inventory counts, and fostering a positive, patient-first store environment. Requires basic math, computer and cash-handling skills, effective communication with patients and team, ability to work in a high-volume retail setting, and eligibility to pass background checks. Education: high school diploma or GED; 1-3 years in retail or customer service; cannabis experience a plus; must be 21+. Location: Parma Heights, Ohio (US). Remote work not offered for this role; in-person duties at the dispensary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years’ experience working in retail or other customer service position
- Cannabis experience is a plus
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to pass all background checks
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and team members
- Experience with cash handling and POS/inventory control systems
- Prior experience working in a high-volume environment
