Job Summary
Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains while curating experiences that exceed expectations. Drive customer visit goals and increase returning customers by building authentic relationships to foster long-term loyalty. Accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point-of-sale system and pick & pack orders. Meet legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state, and DCC laws. Work as a team player to contribute to a positive environment and improve business results daily. This part-time role starts at $19.50/hour plus tips with open availability for days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma
- Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a scheduled shift — at least 4 hours per shift for part-time roles and up to 8 hours per shift for full-time roles
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and twist
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle and count currency and operate a POS system
- Open availability is defined as the ability to work all hours required without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- All employees must be able to work 2 weekend days (Friday-Sunday), but management reserves the right to assign days depending on workforce needs
- Work as a team player and contribute to a positive working environment
- Demonstrate an elevated level of cannabis knowledge
- Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures
- Be knowledgeable around company communication, rollouts, directives, and procedures
- Abide by all company policies and programs
- Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state and DCC laws and regulations
