Job Summary
Conduct customer service and sales duties by advising clients on suitable cannabis products, curating experiences, and driving visit goals to build a loyal customer base. Accurately handle cash transactions using the point-of-sale system and pick & pack orders while maintaining precise registers. Operate as a professional brand ambassador inside and outside the store, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and DCC laws. Work all hours required, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays, with a requirement to cover two weekend days weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma
- Ability to work all hours required without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- Must be able to work 2 weekend days (Friday-Sunday)
- Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a scheduled shift — at least 4 hours per shift for part-time roles and up to 8 hours per shift for full-time roles
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and twist
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle and count currency and operate a POS system
- Ability to work as a team player and contribute to a positive working environment
- Ability to advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis
- Demonstrate an elevated level of cannabis knowledge
- Ability to create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships
- Ability to drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers
- Ability to successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics
- Ability to pick & pack orders
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point-of-sale system
- Ability to adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures
- Ability to be knowledgeable around company communication, rollouts, directives, and procedures
- Ability to abide by all company policies and programs
- Ability to adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state and DCC laws and regulations
