Job Summary
Manage and monitor 10 to 20 owner operators in a high-paced LTL environment, ensuring work is distributed equally among drivers. Maintain 99.5% on-time performance while adhering to all California, National, and State DOT transportation and safety regulations. Respond to emergency or urgent situations by following established company protocols. Ensure drivers are reminded daily of safe driving practices and pick-up/delivery procedures. Requires familiarity with Transportation Management Systems and ability to read and interpret written information. Shift includes Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 10:30am to 7:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- at least two years industry experience
- Four years of relevant customer service or operations experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- knowledge of Transportation Management Systems
- Familiar with all California DOT transportation regulations
- Must have knowledge of all National and State DOT laws and regulations
- Expected to perform at 99.5% on time performance
- Be able to react to emergency or urgent situations as they occur and follow emergency and/or accident company protocol
- Shift- Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, & Sat (Sun & Wed off)
- 10:30am-7:30pm
