Job Summary
Dispatch and expedite orders through the manufacturing process from material ordering until completion to aid fabrication. Work in a cross-functional reporting structure assisting scheduling, shipping, material handling, maintenance, and manufacturing while interfacing with admin departments, vendors, and engineering. Effectively plan and organize order processing, issue shop packets and computer reports to the manufacturing shop, and coordinate machine load reports. Maintain a safe and productive working environment by resolving lost or damaged material status and expediting shipping shortages through close communication with departmental supervisors and production control. Coordinate feedback regarding potential reschedules and overloads. High School Diploma or GED required with one year of manufacturing experience; MRP systems knowledge preferred. Full-time role in Columbus, Nebraska.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- One year of previous experience with MRP systems such as IFS and Oracle Discoverer
- Basic understanding of Production Control Techniques and procedures
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and interpersonal skills
- The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
- The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Read, write and speak English effectively
- Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Business or a related field
- One year of previous experience in production scheduling or dispatching
- 3 years of previous experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Prior experience with IFS
