Job Summary
Operate the telephone system to manage requests for emergency and non-emergency ambulance services, accurately gathering information to create service records and patient accounts. Oversee dispatching services for ambulances within the Athens-Clarke and Oconee County areas while monitoring units in Rockdale and Morgan counties, utilizing multiple radio channels to relay critical information between patients and crews. Use prescheduled call information to manage daily resources, monitor unit availability, and adjust for priority cases to ensure timely deployment. Collect and report daily statistics on call volumes and unit utilization, maintaining logs to ensure seamless shift transitions. Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and report potential issues to management. This six-month introductory probationary period ensures success in the role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
