Job Summary
Fleet Dispatcher handles dispatching loads to customers, planning routes for drivers, prioritizing loads for timely delivery, communicating with drivers and customer service, maintaining logs and paperwork, and ensuring safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Key duties include tracking loads, assigning loads to drivers, assisting with route and load planning, maintaining hours-of-service/ELD logs, and coordinating with CSC and customer service teams. Required skills include strong communication, multi-tasking, attention to detail, knowledge of DOT standards, and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or equivalent
- One year experience dispatching or in the customer service area
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills (word & excel)
