Job Summary

Schedule and direct drivers to ensure on-time, safe, and efficient delivery by sorting and routing customer loads through software. Monitor driver logs for DOT compliance, including physical re-certifications and license renewals, while analyzing delivery data and customer service levels to make adjustments. Coach, counsel, and train associates on proper procedures, document activities, and participate in progressive discipline processes. Review fleet equipment and injury accidents with safety compliance, complete daily and weekly reports, and coordinate routing activities with customer service and warehouse teams. Make recommendations to meet financial and service goals while ensuring all customer communications are logged accurately.

Required Qualifications

  • Three years' experience in logistics/transportations/or supply chain operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong decision-making, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds
  • The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk
  • Travel requirements vary by assignment

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with dispatch software and on-board computers preferred
  • Experience with labor agreements preferred
