Job Summary
Schedule vehicles and drivers for fixed route shuttle service, covering open shifts on short notice. Manage daily operations by communicating with employees, facilitating monthly driver meetings, and enforcing Hours of Service regulations. Maintain neat uniform, answer customer inquiries, and report safety hazards or policy violations to the Facility Manager. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work second, third, and weekend shifts, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Located in Lafayette, this role supports SP+'s checkout-free parking network across North America and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Prior knowledge or experience with shuttle or other dispatched transportation operations, scheduling, employee management
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, speak and communicate all aspects of job related information in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add and subtract
- Ability to understand and adhere to Hours of Service regulations, including frequent calculations involving quarter hours
- Neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
- Ability to change frequently between a sitting and standing position
- Ability to use a phone or two-way radio
