Job Summary
Assign drivers to trucks and provide accurate directions to well site locations or facilities while communicating via phone, GPS, or two-way radios. Monitor ongoing communications and dispatching throughout the shift, validate accuracy of dispatch entries, and maintain appropriate customer-facing communications. Assist the supervisor with hiring recommendations, disciplinary decisions, and performance evaluations while managing a 15-truck operation with multiple stops. Handle emergency and non-emergency requests, guide customer issues to management, and perform other support functions as needed. Work unusual schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays due to 24-hour operations. High School diploma, 6+ months Oil and Gas trucking experience, and prior dispatch experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Ability to comprehend instructions accurately
- Ability to stay focused in a fast paced and loud environment
- Ability to accurately record and maintain important information and documentation
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal history background check
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs
- Monday through Sunday, over-time as required (24hr business operations)
Desired Qualifications
- More than 6 months of experience working in the Oil and Gas Trucking industry, preferred
- Prior dispatch experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- CDL experience preferred
