Job Summary
Answer incoming transportation requests from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and private clients, then collect and enter patient and trip information into dispatch software. Schedule same-day and future requests, dispatch ambulance and non-emergency medical transportation crews, and monitor driver locations and trip status throughout the day. Reassign schedules as operational needs change, verify authorizations, and communicate professionally with EMTs, drivers, and healthcare facilities. Ensure trips are assigned promptly and completed on time while maintaining accurate documentation and following HIPAA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as an EMS Dispatcher or Ambulance Dispatcher
