Job Summary
Coordinate emergency and non-emergency dispatch communications by answering multi-line telephones, operating radio systems, and managing computer-aided dispatch consoles. Receive, prioritize, and disseminate critical information regarding wanted persons, missing individuals, and stolen vehicles while monitoring security systems, CCTV, and alarm protocols. Dispatch protective service field units, maintain accurate logs of unit assignments and arrival times, and relay descriptions to field teams for arrests or detainments. Provide resources to callers, process badging identification, and handle general clerical duties including filing and lost-and-found services under high-stress conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to accurately type 35-40 wpm
- Strong documentation skills under pressure
- Ability to operate multi-line telephone systems including taking and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency calls
- Proficient in using two-way radios and dispatch consoles and enter data as appropriate

Desired Qualifications
