Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Lead Dispatcher, operate all aspects of communications and PBX equipment, manage radio dispatch to maintenance, security, and building services, and handle situations directly related to these systems. Maintain computer proficiency with software programs, Word, and Access, while ensuring clear speaking and typing speeds of at least 35 words per minute. Bilingual candidates are a plus. This role supports OakBend Medical Center's commitment to exceptional care through its No Wait ER, advanced trauma center, and hospital-based skilled nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years dispatcher/PBX experience in a medical or emergency environment
- Computer knowledge with working knowledge of software programs, Word, Access, and Basic PC
- Strong communication skills
- Clear speaking with PBX
- Dispatching experience
- Typing minimum 35 words per minute
