Job Summary
Schedule and dispatch drivers to locations per customer requests, troubleshooting reroutes to maintain on-time deliveries. Relay vital messages between drivers, customers, and personnel while communicating to address conflicts and coordinate service. Prepare daily work schedules, monitor truck and personnel locations, and determine vehicle requirements based on work orders. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in logistics
- 3–5 years of previous transportation logistics experience
- Experience with dispatching software and logistics management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers
- A positive attitude
- Ability to function both independently and in a team setting
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Manage time effectively
- Proficiency with computers and dispatching software
- Strong communication skills in English
- Visual acuity
