Job Summary
Direct day-to-day route operations by taking client calls, monitoring radio and telephone communications, and coordinating with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time performance. Track and report driver sign-in and sign-out times daily, assign trips to maintain adequate route coverage, and communicate service issues or route delays to management. Monitor system performance, review operating metrics, and note closed or late starting routes. Requires one year of dispatcher experience, two years in customer service, Trapeze software proficiency, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure. Full-time role with on-call rotation available.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred
- Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred
- Experience with Trapeze software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Demonstrate a high customer service commitment
- Able to demonstrate professional phone manner
- Knowledge of the service area is a plus
