Job Summary
Direct daily route operations by taking client calls, communicating with drivers and supervisors, and monitoring radio and telephone service quality. Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out times, assign trips to drivers, and track sign-in/sign-out data to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time performance. Note closed or late starting routes and report service issues to Dispatch Supervisors or Managers as appropriate. Participate in analysis and review of operating performance while maintaining positive employee morale and professional phone manners. Requires one year of dispatcher experience, two years in customer service, and proficiency with Spare software.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Spare software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Able to demonstrate professional phone manner
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred
- Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the service area is a plus
