Job Summary
Dispatcher at Gulf Winds International’s Memphis Terminal responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient service to customers and drivers. Key duties include facilitating load distribution for Independent Contractors and employee drivers, promoting driver retention, coordinating with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales, and driving a culture of operational excellence. Requires strong problem-solving, leadership and mentoring abilities, multi-tasking, and superior communication. Cross-trains to cover workload and supports KPI achievement and cost management while maintaining facility readiness and supply levels.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Organizational skills
- Professional communication & writing skills
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Logistics and Intermodal experience preferred
