Job Summary
Plans and assigns daily/weekly driver schedules to maximize freight coverage; communicates appointment dates/times to drivers and owner-operators; coordinates between IMC locations to maximize drivers’ time; assists drivers with equipment issues, detention time, rail billing, and other requests; maintains dispatch lines and paperwork, handles service failures with authority to issue discipline, applies charges, tracks yard reports, participates in driver recruiting and retention, and oversees HOS/ELD updates; requires experience with GPA Navis system and 3–5 years intermodal experience (preferred); strong data entry, communication, and organizational skills; knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous materials; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
