Job Summary
Dispatcher responsible for planning daily/weekly driver schedules to maximize freight coverage, communicating appointment dates/times to drivers and owner-operators, and coordinating across IMC locations. Requires independent judgment in assigning orders to drivers, handling driver service issues, managing yard and rail-related tasks, overseeing HOS/ELD updates, and participating in driver recruiting and retention. The role involves logistics coordination, billing-related tasks, payroll review, and adherence to DOT regulations. Familiarity with GPA Navis, intermodal operations, and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with GPA Navis system and Driver HOS preferred (not required)
- 3–5 years of intermodal experience preferred (not required)
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and/or hazardous materials
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
