Job Summary
Dispatcher III leads dispatching, routing, planning, and compliance for Thatcher’s chemical trucking operations, including senior-level scheduling, carrier onboarding, and regulatory compliance of driver scheduling, HOS, load assignments, chemical compatibility, tank requirements, and customer fulfillment. The role involves end-to-end brokerage operations for LTL, pneumatic, and bulk liquid shipments, support for revenue growth and customer retention through pricing and contract renewals, and oversight of booking, tracking, and documentation in Thatcher’s software environments. Candidates should demonstrate expert dispatch operations knowledge, DOT/FMCSA/HOS/HazMat regulatory understanding, strong cross-department communication, analytical/problem-solving ability, mentorship and process development skills, and leadership in resolving conflicts. Preferred qualifications include experience with carrier booking via TMS and 3PLs, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong typing, and effective written communication and leadership of drivers.
