Dispatcher

Dispatcher at Granite Construction coordinates labor, equipment, materials, trucking and rentals for construction projects at The Woodlands, TX to ensure resources align with project schedules. Communicates resource needs to the Construction Manager, Superintendents, Safety, and Equipment departments; dispatches detailed time/location information to field teams; coordinates with Equipment and other dispatchers to optimize equipment utilization; uses computerized dispatch systems to share resource updates with the team; communicates with Superintendents to monitor daily work; works with vendors to obtain favorable rental/material pricing; ensures contract requirements (DBE, Tier compliance) are understood; updates the underground service alert (USA); codes dispatch office invoices for accuracy and timeliness; may track rentals and equipment movements and operate under outside working conditions. Requires a High School Diploma and 0-2 years of dispatch experience, plus strong organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, Heavy Job, and The Dispatcher.
