Job Summary
Dispatcher role handling customer communications, ordering and scheduling deliveries, and coordinating with drivers, plants, and maintenance to ensure timely pours and efficient routing. Responsibilities include assigning trucks and drivers to orders based on capacity and geography, managing load spacing and delivery timing in real time, monitoring multiple pours to prevent delays, communicating routing and jobsite conditions to drivers, coordinating with plant personnel and other dispatchers to balance workloads, scheduling preventative maintenance to minimize production disruption, responding to issues like breakdowns or late orders, and promoting fuel efficiency and safe driving practices through route planning. Requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), strong customer service skills, proficiency with Word and Excel, good English communication, basic math, ability to work varied hours, and willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with associate degree preferred
- Customer Service experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual a plus
- Able to do simple math
- Able to work varied hours to accommodate early/late concrete pours Monday through Saturday on rotating schedule
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check
