Job Summary
Dispatcher role based in Calgary for Ply Gem Canada, responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating vehicle operations, assigning routes based on urgency and efficiency, tracking location/status of city vehicles and field staff, maintaining clear communication with drivers, supervisors and customers, handling emergency and non-emergency calls, reacting to delays or incidents, maintaining logs and documentation for compliance, and providing support to drivers and crews in the field. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), proven dispatch/logistics experience, strong communication and multitasking skills, proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking, and MS Office, and familiarity with city geography; on-site position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with city geography and municipal services is a plus.
