Job Summary
Operate police and fire radios, receive service requests by telephone, and determine appropriate resources for police, fire, and EMS personnel. Transfer calls to other law enforcement agencies, ambulance services, or appropriate parties, and provide routine police information or take other necessary actions. Manage warrant entry and filing, perform data entry for police and fire records, and monitor prisoners in lockup via security cameras and audio contact. This 12-hour shift follows an 84-hour bi-weekly schedule. Candidates must hold at least a high school diploma and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
