Job Summary
Dispatcher (Candidate Pool) for future openings in Delta County, CO. Maintain communications center for citizens and agencies; receive and relay information, respond to urgent and emergency requests, maintain radio contact with law enforcement, provide investigative information via CCIC/NCIC, handle 911 emergency dispatch, and work shifts including weekends and holidays. Office-based role with potential temporary remote work only with supervisor approval; requires strong communications, typing, and public-safety systems proficiency. Describes essential duties such as CAD operations, crime information lookup, and coordination with hospitals and other agencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of experience working with the public and/or private institutions
- Alpha Code Certified
- Colorado Crime Information Center (CCIC) Certified
- CPR certified
- Emergency Medical Dispatch Certified
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays
- Proficient use of NCIC/CCIC programs
- Experience with 911 and administrative systems (phones and screens) preferred
