Job Summary
Plan and release all flights according to regulations, company policies, and procedures to ensure optimum safety of the operation of each flight. Analyze weather information, consider factors affecting flights, compute required fuel loads, determine alternates if needed, monitor flight progress with the captain and manage the flight until arrival, and communicate emergency procedures as required. Requires FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate and 1+ year of dispatch experience; minimum age 23; eligibility to work in the U.S. and a valid passport. Proficiency in coordinating with crew, weather/airspace constraints, and maintaining safety and efficiency in flight operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong analytical, communication, time-management, and decision-making skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, equivalent education attainment, or equivalent experience
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- 1+ year as an Aircraft Dispatcher
- Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must have a valid passport prior to start date.
