Job Summary
Schedule drivers for freight deliveries and pickups while acting as a liaison between customers, vendors, and management. Communicate freight details, pickup, and drop-off times; plan predetermined routes and identify traffic issues to create corrective action plans. Prepare dispatch documents, maintain records of calls and route changes, monitor truck repairs, and log vendor complaints. Answer phone calls from vendors, customers, and management as needed. Work 4:30am to 1:00pm with mandatory Saturdays and Mondays.
Required Qualifications
- Strong aptitude for time management
- Excellent understanding of local and state traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to make quick changes in routing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deep understanding of computer software and technologies
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Must be available for 4:30am-1:00pm (Sunday is closed)
- Saturday & Monday are mandatory workdays
