Job Summary
Answer incoming calls, determine call priority, and assign tasks to field staff while coordinating response and delivery of information. Dispatch vehicles and units based on communications, providing instructions before mechanic arrival. Translate information to appropriate codes and perform emergency dispatch for entrapments. Ask questions to determine caller situations through analysis and anticipate needs. Assist mechanics with time tickets and update information in computer databases. Requires bilingual Russian, one year of experience, and ability to lift up to fifteen pounds. Located in Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to execute directions accurately and with speed
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and diligence
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn a variety of communications systems
