Job Summary
Service Dispatcher for Alta Equipment Group's Montgomery, IL branch. Responsible for dispatching technicians for service requests and PMs, prioritizing calls, maintaining and closing work orders, invoicing support, and coordinating with technicians to assign the closest skilled resource. Requires strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with ERP systems, ability to generate and review PM scheduling, WIP and reports, and effective verbal/written communication with colleagues and customers. First shift, full-time with 20-26 USD hourly pay depending on experience, and a benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, and a company laptop.
Required Qualifications
- Previous dispatching, warranty administrative or mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- ERP experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to convert customer service needs into actionable dispatch actions
