Dispatch Planner for Stevens Transport: responsible for securing capacity for booked freight using company assets and alternative modes (rail, over the road) and for scheduling, relaying, and resolving issues for drivers, contractors, and carriers on a national level. Works as an educator and problem-solver in a deadline-driven environment, analyzing large data sets to identify solutions and backup options. Key duties include planning loads for assigned markets/accounts, pairing available trucks with freight, balancing trailer pool inventory, routing outbound drivers to deficit areas, monitoring loads to prevent delays from mechanical, traffic, or customer-request changes, and generating regular/ad-hoc reports.
