Dispatch Operations Officer

Dispatch Operations Officer responsible for flight following, flight dispatch and Centralised Load Control in accordance with the Flight Dispatch and Load Control Policy procedures. Reports to the Manager Dispatch Operations and works within the Operations Delivery team to ensure safe and efficient flight operations. Responsibilities include interpreting aviation weather forecasts and NOTAMs, identifying alternate/holding provisions for flight plans, reflecting them in flight plans, disseminating weather NOTAMs and operational messages, monitoring en route and terminal conditions, communicating with operational stakeholders, performing weight & balance calculations for Jetstar Airways B787 fleet, and maintaining Centralised Load Control functions and the Approved Load Controller instrument. Desirable qualifications include a flight dispatch licence or PPL/CPL, and a related degree or previous flight dispatch experience; broader aviation operations knowledge and aviation legislation are also desirable.
