Job Summary
Dispatch role coordinating drivers, trucks, and containers to maximize capacity and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Responsibilities include routing vehicles, assigning loads based on routes and driver locations, preparing and updating daily route schedules, maintaining route documentation, reconciling driver check-ins, closing prior-day routes by 10am in the Soft-Pak system, and interacting with customers. Demonstrates safety compliance, reports driver performance concerns, and supports other duties as assigned. Requires experience in dispatching, customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience in the Solid Waste Industry is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Microsoft Office
- Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Team collaboration
- Attention to detail
