Dispatch Manager - Customer Delivery Hub

Job Summary
Manage, recruit, and hire all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers while ensuring trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with safety standards. Route drivers effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments and maintain the vehicle fleet. Minimize turn-around times through direct supervision and work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations. Collaborate with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks, and handle unplanned vendor pickups. Develop expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography. Requires 7+ years of experience, preferred supervisory background, routing software proficiency, and DOT regulations knowledge. Supports White Cap's mission to build America as a leading distributor for professional contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Generally has 7+ years of experience
- Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers
- Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards
- Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments
- Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained
- Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers
- Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls
- Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups
- Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience with routing software
- Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs
