Job Summary
Dispatch/Customer Services role in the Ready Mix department focused on providing quality and timely customer service through order entry, handling changes to orders and shipping requirements, and coordinating delivery assets. Responsibilities include entering orders from customer information, communicating with plant personnel and operations regarding special products and orders, scheduling leased drivers, coordinating mixer/aggregate truck deliveries, tracking orders, and interfacing with Sales, OC, Operations, Accounting, and Safety. Emphasis on multi-tasking, effective communication, attention to priorities in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Needs basic computer skills and proficiency in Excel/Teams/Word, with preferred experience in Command Alkon and knowledge of Colorado geography.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Must have basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong basic math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word
- Experience with Command Alkon Platform (preferred)
- Diligent Mult-tasking capabilities
- Demonstrates the ability to work well with others in a high stress environment
- Geographical knowledge of the Colorado area and the ability to read maps and communicate directions
- Must be a positive team player
- A background in customer service or dispatch is a plus
- Ready-mix Dispatching or Customer service – related experience (Preferred)
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Bilingual (Preferred)
