Dispatch Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets while serving as the primary point of contact for customers. Build relationships with brokers and carriers to resolve discrepancies regarding pricing, service levels, and documentation, including verifying shipping and customs documents like PODs and BOLs. Analyze lane data and on-time performance to negotiate rates with third-party carriers and select 3PL partners to ensure profitability. Direct logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, tracking shipments, and expediting deliveries while proactively communicating service risks. Available for morning, afternoon, or night shifts with a minimum of one year of trucking or dispatch experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch experience
- Educational background in Supply Chain Management
- Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
- Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography
