Job Summary
Dishwasher cleans and sanitizes dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots, maintains the dish room and dish machine, and assists with cleaning other kitchen areas. Responsibilities include loading/unloading the automatic dishwasher, stacking items by size, re-washing as needed, sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, scrubbing walls and trashcans, removing trash from the kitchen/loading dock, cleaning floor mats, and performing additional kitchen-cleaning duties as requested. Requires knowledge of dish machine operations, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines
- Knowledge of basic dish machine operations
- Ability to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
- Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
- A highly motivated and energetic personality
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Able to work flexible hours necessary including off hours, weekends and holidays.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral form
